Your Day on the Water just got better!

As SAILING WORLD’S 1987 Boat of the Year, “Syzygy” blends cruising comfort with a performance hull and rig that is meant to be raced or sailed short handed.  In a nut shell, the design is all about “Fast Is Fun“.

“Syzygy” has classic warmth below decks and race appeal topside.  The interior is varnished ash with white overhead, multiple opening and fixed ports, fore & main cabin deck hatches and a teak and holly cabin sole.

The forward cabin qualifies as the captain’s quarters with a large hanging locker, two swivel lights, and large foredeck hatch.  A filler cushion bridges the area between the 6’04” berths, making one large continuous double berth when desired.

The head is to starboard with an electric head & holding tank (2000), stainless steel sink and counter top, pressure hot & cold water, mirror, handheld shower, linen locker, and opening port w/screen.

The salon’s starboard settee makes a comfortable single berth with storage behind and outboard.  The port settee also has storage behind and outboard and can serve as single berth.  The dinette table folds up against the forward bulkhead.  There is a double quarter berth to port.  Good light and ventilation are provided by florescent lighting, multiple ports, deck hatches, and the companionway.  (All new custom cushions in 2000)  The interior grab rails make movement below decks safe and secure in a seaway.

The L-shaped galley to starboard has storage galore, double stainless steel sink near center line with hot and cold pressure water with a large, insulated ice box converted to Waeco Adler/Barbour Coldmachine refrigeration (2000), and a gimbaled, and two burner Gas Systems CNG stove with oven.

The forward facing navigation station is to port at the front of the quarter berth with a chart size table.  There are additional storage drawers under and cabinet outboard.
