Name: 4th Of July

Your Day on the Water just got better!

“4th of July” offers the Tartan tradition of excellence in sailing performance, whether racing or cruising.  And she was engineered to withstand offshore conditions.  The Tartan has excellent form stability, low wetted surface and powerful sailing lines.  Her design numbers reflect a hull form with good behavior and performance throughout a wide range of wind and wave conditions.  In other words, she sails like a dream.

Tartan sailboats are known for their solid, high quality construction.  The interior is oiled teak with white overhead, nine opening ports, fore & main cabin deck hatches and a teak and holly cabin sole.  “4th of July” has the classic warmth and appeal of a true yacht.

The forward cabin qualifies as the owner’s stateroom with a large hanging locker, two swivel lights, large foredeck hatch, and articulated door for privacy.  A side seat cushion comes up to make one large continuous double berth.  A Tufted Topper cushioned mattress cover and custom-fitted sheets were added in 2017.

The head is to port with a manual Jabsco head (2015) & holding tank, molded sink and counter top, pressure hot & cold water, mirror, handheld shower, teak shower grate, and independent shower sump pump, linen locker, and opening port w/screen.

The salon’s starboard settee makes a comfortable single berth with storage behind and outboard.  The port settee also has storage behind and serve as single berth with a pilot berth above and outboard.  The dinette table folds up against the forward bulkhead.  There is a double quarter berth to port.  Good light and ventilation are provided by both reading and dome lights, courtesy lights, multiple opening ports w/screens, deck hatches, two dorade vents and the companionway.  The interior grab rails make movement below decks safe and secure in a seaway.

The C-shaped galley to starboard has storage galore, deep stainless steel sink near center line with a cold water foot pump, hot and cold pressure water with a 6 gallon, 110v AC/engine heated hot water heater, a large, insulated ice box, and a gimbaled, and two burner Seaward CNG stove and Seaward microwave.

The outward facing navigation station is to port at the front of the quarter berth with a fold-down chart table.  There are additional storage drawers alongside and cabinets outboard.
