This Jeanneau is the Deck Salon model, which means it has some features that regular Sun Odyssey’s do not. The largest of which is the master aft cabin layout. This 42 has the interior volume of most 45′ boats on the market along with 10 opening ports and hatches for great ventilation and a bright, airy feeling.
The forward cabin has a large V-berth. Storage under the berth and a double hanging locker assure plenty of places to put belongings.
The forward head is to starboard with an optional electric head. Cabinet counter top has a stainless steel sink.
The salon in this model is very large and bright. Jeanneau uses Alpi-Tech woodwork which is both durable and beautiful. The wood cabin sole is bright and has machined stripes.
The galley is directly to starboard when coming down the companionway. She features a sink and GE microwave oven. The fridge/freezer holds 185L and has top opening access. There is a propane stove/oven combo.
Jeanneau’s are known for their proper Navigation stations. The Nav station is to port. there is space for a laptop with an integrated plug. The chart table is large with excellent storage underneath. The VHF radio is located here as well as the centralized electrical panels.
The aft head compartment is large and well ventilated. It features a Corian counter top. There is a shower curtain on a stainless steel rod system to keep things dry.
The Yanmar diesel engine is accessed under the companionway steps with a large access panel in the aft cabin. Side access is also available.
